We accept Visa, Mastercard as well as debit cards including Solo, Delta and Maestro through our Paypal checkout. We do not charge for any item until it is either ready to ship or has been reserved with a supplier on your behalf for delivery within a stated time period. Back-ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, mail or over the Internet.
Shipping And Handling Delivery to any address on the UK mainland varies in cost relative to the size of your order, some products are shipped free of charge. The cost of shipping may be added to your order total during checkout. Goods ordered wrong can be returned at customers expence.
We reserve the right to subtract a 25% re-stocking fee to any refund.
We begin processing orders within 12 working hours of receipt and a letter of acknowledgement will be sent to you by e-mail confirming product details followed by a full shipping schedule. For tractor mowers, we shall confirm a suitable delivery day before shipping the product.
Although we strive to provide as accurate information on shipping as we can, the delivery period stated either on the site or advised by email or verbally should be seen as a guide only and can not be viewed as the essence of any contract entered into with Shire Garden Machines. We shall endeavour to notify you as soon as possible of any anticipated delay in the shipment of your product and your order may of course be cancelled at any time prior to dispatch should the wait prove unsatisfactory.

We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed . They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. Shire Garden Machines only supplies the very best machinery and goods from established manufacturers. All products are covered by a manufacturer's warranty, details of which are listed with each individual item on sale in the store. Should a problem occur with a product during the period of warranty, you are entitled to have the product examined by the manufacturer's agent. Any manufacturing fault will be rectified by the manufacturer's agent. Customers are advised that the manufacturer's agent will however be entitled to refuse to undertake work free of charge in the warranty period if the agent believes damage to the machine has been self-inflicted rather than being the consequence of an actual manufacturing fault. In accordance with existing UK Distance Selling Regulations, any product may be returned for whatever reason providing we receive written confirmation of your desire to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery
The cost of return will be borne by the customer unless the product is defective or was received in error. In the event that the product has been used and has been returned as unwanted during this period, any benefit gained from use beyond normal examination will be taken into consideration when deciding on the amount to be refunded as will any damage from use, cosmetic or otherwise, to the machine. Returned items should be made available for collection by our shipping company. We would request that returned products are sent back in their original packaging. In the event that this is not done, and we are required to use a more expensive means of collection or packaging service, any excess charges we face will be passed onto the customer. We will issue any refunds as soon as possible and no later than 30 days after cancellation. The customer is responsible for the condition and safekeeping of all goods until collected by us, or, if the customer returns the item to us by their own chosen means, until it reaches us.
